Saw Perks for the second time tonight….still an amazing movie! Loved every second. I took my cousin and warned her that she might cry at the end…we had to sit in the theater while everyone was clearing out because we were both sobbing! And she’s never read the book so she had no idea what was coming. She wants to read it now, so I’m going to let her borrow one of my copies :)

Oh! And I’m pretty sure that the majority of the people in the theater tonight never read the book, because they were giggling at the look on Charlie’s face when he started to realize what happened to him when he was younger (tried to keep that pretty vague, if you read the book/saw the movie you’ll understand). But once it actually started to explain what happened, they were all silent and all you could hear were people sniffling during his break down and through the end of the movie. It was weird, I actually kinda felt proud that they had that reaction. I can’t really explain it… It’s like… I read the book a few times…so I understood what happened, what was going to happen, and why it was happening. But because they had no idea…I felt proud…or glad that they had that reaction to the story. I hope that makes sense…It’s a bit difficult to put into words.

Moral of the story: I LOVE THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER!

“I can see it. This one moment when you know you’re not a sad story. You are alive. And you stand up and see the lights on the buildings and everything that makes you wonder, and you’re listening to that song on that drive with the people you love most in this world. And in this moment, I swear, we are infinite.”

“How do you feel Charlie?”“I just really want a milkshake.”

“How do you feel Charlie?”
“I just really want a milkshake.”

I’m already super excited for the DVD to come out.

My guess is either a christmas release (hopefully) or a release somewhere at the end of January into February.

I wish I could explain how I feel right now….

Beautiful, perfect, fantastic movie.

That last scene…took my breath away

And Charlie’s breakdown…broke my heart

Logan, Emma, and Ezra….Charlie, Sam, and Patrick

Brad, Candace, Mary Elizabeth, Craig, Bob, Alice….everyone…

Sitting in the theater waiting for Perks to start. Definitely thought there’d be more people here for the midnight show
